Dice cards are great to use with preschool games.

I created some dice cards when I couldn’t find any large dice for a game and small ones wouldn’t work.  My budget really doesn’t allow for me to buy large jumbo dice to give to the preschool kids in my program, but these work great!

Dice Cards | easy, cheap, great for number games!

They also work great if there’s a baby in the home and you don’t want to have dice out because of the choking hazard.

All you do is cut squares from cardstock and add circle stickers. My squares are about 2.5″x 2.5″.

Place them in a stack and have your child draw from the stack instead of rolling dice.

Why do I love them?

  • They are cheap to make.
  • They are easy to produce in mass quantities.
  • They are safe and don’t pose a choking hazard for younger siblings.
  • The large dots are easy for small fingers to touch and to count with one-to-one correspondence.
  • They can be used with any games that require dice or number cards.
  • Kids can draw one card if they are beginners or they can draw two cards if they are more advanced.
  • They work well in math learning centers or busy bags.
  • I have used them with grid games and with this dice game
